The Betrayal Goes On

Meanwhile, over in Westminster Abbey, London, the betrayal of the biblical faith goes on apace.

The programme for a service held in the Abbey on 31 October 2017 underscores on so many points how unbiblical ecumenism, rather than Reformed evangelicalism, is the order of the day.

'Lowlights' include:

• A jaundiced presentation of history, rendered in such a fictitious manner as to pretend that while Queen Mary executed Protestants on account of their faith, Henry VIII had 'balanced the books' by doing the same to Catholics;

• the typical misapplication of our Lord's high priestly prayer in John 17;

• the pretence that both Catholics and Protestants now share a common understanding of the great biblical doctrine of Justification by Faith Alone.
