Fields Ready to Harvest

Watching the harvesters at work in the fields beside my house this week reminded me of how our Saviour encouraged His disciples not to delay to involve themselves in the harvest fields - "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest" (John 4:35). Plenty of Gospel work - both sowing and reaping - needs to be done. May God give us the passion and the power to do it.
