Visit to Revival Movement Association

Some 20 miles outside of Belfast in the beautiful surroundings of the Dromore countryside, lies a large Gospel tract printing and distribution factory. It was to this factory that 13 members of the Martyrs Memorial congregation traveled to see the work of The Revival Movement Association on the 27th October.

In 1949 when this work commenced in the late Ernie Allen's kitchen, it would have been a much quieter affair, compared to the noise levels in the factory at Kinallen Road, Dromore.

It is not just the noise levels that have, no doubt much increased. The number of countries reached, the number of languages printed, the numbers of parcels, the numbers of containers for transportation, the paper tonnage, the staff required, and the enormous running expenses, all have much increased.

From the moment we entered the factory we were impressed by the worldwide reach and scope of this work. The front entrance is a clear reminder of the great need for Gods word to be presented to all nations, people's and tongues. We were welcomed by Samuel and Carol Adams along with Heather Mercer. Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake were provided.

After a brief chat about the work and some safety advise, we set off towards the factory floor.

1st Samuel 21:8 informs us that, "the King's business requireth haste." We were all fascinated by the sheer volume and the immense speed of the production lines. Children’s flash card stories, Gospels booklets and tracts, all printed, folded, stapled and packed with great speed and efficiency.

Different items of equipment intrigued different members of the tour, some were stunned by the speed at which a parcel is taped up and made ready for the post bag. Others were awestruck at the power and accuracy of the mighty guillotine, with its ultra sharp blade and the very necessary safety laser beams used to cause the machine to become inactive, until all hands and arms are free from the cutting area. Printing machines as long as buses, thundered away, swallowing up half ton rolls of paper in a very short time. Each roll of paper would be loaded at one end of the machine, and once started, they would appear at the far end of the machine, having just had several colours applied layer on layer producing a roll of paper now containing the word of God, in print. Machinery cutting, folding, pinning, and making these pieces of literature ready for the outstretched hands of those needy souls across the world.

Much God given talent is used by all the staff at The Revival Movement association, much equipment and machinery is pressed into action, tonnes of paper comes in one door, only to leave the factory, a short time later as printed tracts, and booklets containing the precious Word of God.

Five tonnes of paper per day, 95 languages, covering 120 countries. 24 members of staff, have dedicated their lives to the furtherance of the Gospel through the printed page.

And perhaps the most staggering figure of all, £5500.00 per day is required to keep this factory open and the presses rolling providing millions of tracts and gospel leaflets, to a dying world.

A worthwhile cause and a miraculous work of God is carried on in this factory, making it a worthwhile visit, enjoyed by all.
