Remembrance Day 2015

Remembrance Day at Martyrs was commemorated by two messages that dipped back a full 100 years for their anchor points in history:

The Armenian Genocide – a horrendous attempt by the Young Turks to obliterate the Armenian community from their territories. The shameful reality is that while many are well informed concerning the Holocaust inflicted upon the Jewish people by the Nazis in WW2, not nearly so many are aware of the slaughter of 1.5 million Armenians just over 20 years before this.

Belfast Boys on the Beachheads – a tracing of some of the gallant men from West and East Belfast who distinguished themselves in the impossible campaign that was Gallipoli.

Both of these messages can be found by following our 'Resources' link and navigating through Sermon Audio.
