Last evening we held our first Carol Service of 2015, in the exceptionally quaint surroundings of the old Presbyterian Meeting House that is now located within the grounds of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra.
This morning the organiser of this event, our organist, Mr Peter Lunn, received a message from the staff at the Folk Museum, asking about his perceptions on last night's meeting. Peter replied:
"It was brilliant, we had just a few seats empty on the right of the pulpit. So I guess we had around 200-230. Congregational singing was awesome. All comments last night and texts and calls today have been very positive. People loved the venue, some commenting we should make it an annual event.
We had a video taken of the service, and when I get copies made I can send you one if you wish. Many people came in period dress, including our minister and myself.
All in all a magnificent night. Thank you for all your help, and thanks also to Carol for overseeing our event. The rainy conditions outside couldn't even spoil our night.
Regards Peter."
On behalf of all who were present, allow me to extend heartfelt thanks to Peter for organising this event; considerable time and effort was required to carry off this project. May I also encourage you to continue earnestly in prayer that the Lord will be magnified and homes transformed as a result of this venture.
