Countdown to Mission Sandy Row #1

Now a regular feature of life at Martyrs is an extra Men's Prayer Meeting. This convenes on the first Lord's Day evening of each month, running at the same time as the Women's Meeting.

Tonight the Kirk Session Room in Martyrs was full of men laying hold on the Lord for blessing in the upcoming mission in Blythefield Primary School, Sandy Row. This number of participants, allied to the spirit of prayer that was in evidence, is most encouraging.

As John Bunyan remarked so may we find it true: "You can do more than pray, after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed."

Further prayer meetings will be held this week to plead with God for the success of this mission: on Wednesday evening, some of the folk from William Tyndale FPC plan to come over and join us at Martyrs; the Martyrs people will return the favour by linking with the Tyndale congregation on Thursday night on Donegal Avenue.

I ask you to pray along with us for this evangelistic venture in Sandy Row, Monday 11 - Wednesday 13 April.
