Countdown to Mission Sandy Row #4

For the past two consecutive nights members of the Martyrs Memorial and Tyndale Memorial Free Presbyterian congregations have held joint prayer meetings for the Sandy Row Mission. On Wednesday, a contingent from the Tyndale congregation joined the Martyrs folk at their regular prayer meeting; tonight the compliment was returned with members from Martyrs going over to Tyndale on Donegal Avenue. Two immensely blessed seasons of prayer were enjoyed by all present.

At Martyrs, Rev. Ian Brown selected Psalm 68:11 as his text: "The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it."

Tonight, Rev. Paul Foster spoke from Acts 18:9-10 – a verse of Scripture through which the Lord had directed him to accept the call from the Tyndale congregation: "Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city."

We are convinced that the Lord had a decisive hand in both messages as they produced both challenge and comfort, and provided a basis for earnest, expectant praying on both occasions.

It is vital that this Mission is bathed in prayer; may this tide of intercession continue to rise on the lead up to, during, and after the Mission.
